    SUSTAINABILITY

What we take from a place should leave room for what comes next.

Ebbor depends on the health of the plants, landscapes and people behind each edition.

We make decisions about how we source, pack and produce with that responsibility in mind. This page sets out the work we have committed to—and the work we continue to improve.

    Plants and place

Grow with care. Gather with restraint.

Most Ebbor botanicals are grown at Home Farm or supplied by growers we know. We work with our growers to understand how each plant is grown, harvested and handled, then record its provenance by harvest lot.

Wild botanicals are the exception, never the default. Where we use a plant collected from the wild, we use the FairWild Standard as our framework for responsible collection.

Collection must be lawful, traceable and specific to the species and place. It must respect the wider habitat, local knowledge and the people who collect it.

We do not collect from fragile landscapes for the sake of rarity or a story.

    Packaging

    Less weight. Less oxygen.

Every part of an Ebbor pack has a job to do: protecting the edition, recording its provenance or making space to enjoy it.

We chose the pouch rather than a heavy glass bottle. It uses less material and weighs less in transit, while keeping the edition protected from light and oxygen to preserve the plants.

We use recycled materials in our packaging wherever possible and keep each component to what is necessary—from the pouch and outer box to the pieces that accompany an edition.

    Production

    Energy where the work happens.

Ebbor is made on our farm in Somerset. Solar panels generate electricity on site, and battery storage helps us use more of that energy when production is underway.

Alongside this, our process is designed to protect plants through careful handling, cold and time.

The aim is not to add complexity for its own sake. It is to make exceptional use of what a harvest has given us.

    People and place

    The work should circle back.

The Ebbor Foundation supports the communities and places connected to the Botanical Estate. We donate 1% of our net revenues to the Ebbor Foundation.

As Ebbor grows, the Foundation is how we direct support towards the people, knowledge and landscapes that make the work possible.

A standard we can be held to.

We will continue to share the decisions behind Ebbor: what we source, how we work and where we still need to improve.

Responsibility is not a finish line or a label. It is the discipline of asking better questions of every edition.
